Medical Assistant
The medical assistant will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. This role supports clinicians and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating patient populations. The medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

Essential Skills
Medical assisting
Phlebotomy
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to take vitals (manual vitals preferred)
Active BLS certification
Active driver's license
Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
Ability to assess emergencies and act accordingly
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma required
2 years of experience within a clinic / back office healthcare setting
Medical Assistant diploma or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or 3 years of MA experience
Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
Experience with TriMed EMR preferred
Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements
Knowledge of universal precaution procedures in medical safety practices
Flexibility to adjust to changing work environment
Independent, responsible, and organized
Work Environment
The position is 100% onsite in a clinic located in Wellington. The work schedule alternates weekly. Week 1 : Monday 7 : 45-12pm, Tuesday 1 : 30-5pm, Wednesday 7 : 45-12pm, Thursday 1 : 30-5pm, Friday 7 : 45-5pm. Week 2 : Monday 7 : 45-12pm, Tuesday 7 : 45-12pm, Wednesday 1 : 30-5pm, Thursday 1 : 30-5pm, Friday 7 : 45-12pm. The role may require travel between clinics, with a mileage reimbursement of $0.67 / mile and a $20 gas card if floating outside core locations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31200.00 - $43680.00 / yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
