Job Summary and Responsibilities

Qualified external applicants with at least one year of experience may be eligible for a seasonal bonus up to $4,000!

  • $400 / month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek or Lake Counties.  Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a CommonSpirit facility in Summit County and full time or part time status (PRN ineligible).  More details available upon offer.

Join our team as a Certified Sterile Processing Tech. In the Certified Sterile Processing Tech role you will :

  • Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department.
  • Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment.
  • Maintain records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Maintains Certification, and monitors, instructs and mentors non-certified.
  • Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR.
  • Facilitate the department's preparation of staff to pass survey / regulatory assessments.

    • Seasonal Position :   November 2025 - April 2026, Variable day shift, weekends possible

    Job Requirements

    In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following :

  • Computer skills required
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer
  • High School Diploma / G.E.D. required

    • Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and / or up to 20lbs frequently, and / or up to 10lbs constantly)
