Job description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides a highly reliable, scalable, and low-cost cloud platform that powers thousands of businesses in over 190 countries. AWS’ Infrastructure Supply Chain & Procurement (ISCaP) organization works to deliver solutions to source, build and maintain our socially responsible data center supply chains. We are a team of highly-motivated, engaged, and responsive professionals who enable the core sustainable infrastructure of AWS. Come join our team and be a part of history as we deliver results for the largest cloud services company on Earth!

WS is looking for an experienced professional who loves technology, is hungry for driving change and looking to make a Global impact. Come armed with your knowledge for a position where you will own, build, and run technology sourcing and operations and engage with multiple teams to drive plans and execution to satisfy the demanding needs of a high growth industry impacting markets worldwide. Our Supply Chain Product Managers are responsible for developing Alternate or Multi Sourcing Strategies and clear action plans to support the launch of new products and sustainment of existing products as we meet and exceed customer demand. In this role you will lead internal and supplier engagements across Supply Chain, Engineering and Business organizations while diving deep into the technologies and operations both from a product and Supply Chain perspective. You will analyze trends involving the industry players – vendors, customers, and technology to develop strategies to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities, allowing AWS to meet and exceed its goals.

Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.

Demonstrable capability to negotiate requirements and decisions effectively across a diverse range of teams and to lead through influence.

Proven ability to execute in all phases of the product development life cycle, resulting in high-quality hardware products, delivered on time.

Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner, seeking out areas that need attention, rather than being asked to look at specific problem areas.

Key job responsibilities

Drive Amazon PCBA introductions by qualifying and securing multiple sub-tier component sources pre-launch, ensuring supply chain resiliency through validated alternate suppliers while meeting launch timing, cost, and quality objectives.

  • Partner with design, manufacturing teams and suppliers to implement robust product / configuration management processes, driving timely qualification of alternate sources to guarantee supply availability at launch.
