What You'll Be Doing :
Responsible for management and administration of the document and records management department of assigned business unit. The Director is functionally responsible for the document controls department, including ownership of policies and procedures related to all forms of project document controls (paper and electronic) and the oversight of department staff.
Develops and ensures compliance with all corporate-level document control policies and procedures for the Corporation's non-federal business. Ensures that policies comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding document and records management.
Keeps up to date relative to relevant document control issues and technology, and makes decisions regarding company-standard document control software.
Manages personnel within the department, making hiring and assignment decisions, providing a mechanism for effective personnel development, performing salary reviews, and making recommendations for promotions and other personnel actions.
Provides training and development. Provides technical guidance to assigned personnel and GBU management and ensures proficiency and timeliness of document control efforts.Develops the annual business plan and budget request and adheres to the approved annual budget or assigned targets.
Assists in developing proposals and provides technical consultation to client and company management as needed.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (or related field), and typically 15+ years of related work experience with at least 5 years' experience in a supervisory / managerial capacity is required (or an equivalent combination of formal education and work experience).
Membership and / or certification in EMC (Enterprise Content Management) and / or ARMA (American Records Management Association) is preferred.
This position requires knowledge of document control work processes, electronic systems for document management, and legal / contractual obligations related to document management, records management, and / or document controls.
Must demonstrate the ability to drive excellence in field of document and records management focusing on improvement of processes, mentoring, training, and compliance. Must demonstrate the ability to effectively execute and manage complex tasks. This includes effective problem solving and exercising sound judgment regarding timing and senior management involvement in significant issues.
Must demonstrate the ability to accomplish projects and assigned tasks on time and within budget. Skills include developing a team, leading meetings, coordinating with all stakeholders, developing and managing schedules and budgets, and coordinating / managing team members to ensure tasks are completed as required.
Salary Range : $128,700.00 - $231,700.00
