The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Role Overview :

As a Junior Product Controller, you will support daily Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting, assist in financial analysis, and ensure data accuracy across trading desks. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop a strong foundation in financial markets and risk management while working closely with senior controllers and traders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in daily P&L reporting, ensuring accurate data entry and reconciliation.
  • Support market commentary efforts by helping analyze P&L fluctuations.
  • Contribute to risk attribution analysis, learning how to identify key risk drivers (rate delta, credit delta, time decay, etc.).
  • Assist in reconciling P&L and balance sheets, ensuring consistency across front-to-back operations.
  • Monitor trades and positions to help identify discrepancies and maintain accuracy.
  • Collaborate with senior product controllers to review trader mark-to-market (MtM) valuations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve reporting and data integrity issues.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or relevant coursework).
  • Internship or prior experience in finance, accounting, or trading support is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools; Excel proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or VBA is helpful but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn from senior stakeholders.
  • The typical base pay range for this role is between $77K - $97K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and / or incentive compensation.
