Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a dedicated RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift assignment in Texas, requiring experience with C-sections and fetal monitoring.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting

Typical patient population includes adults and infants

Unit has 6 beds with a nurse to patient ratio typically 1-2

Responsibilities include induction of labor, C-sections, augmentation of labor, labor triage, and pitocin administration

Special procedures include C-sections and fetal monitoring

12-hour night shifts (1845-0715) are required

Floating within women's services, including Mother Baby, may be required based on skillset

Uses Cerner for charting

Candidates must wear unit specified scrub color

Must be able to work weekends as required

No on-call requirement for this position

Holiday coverage may be required

Orientation and support will be provided in relevant women's services areas

Returning travelers are subject to facility-specific rules on assignment limits and break periods

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required

Current COVID and Flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted

Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing with skills in C-section and fetal monitoring

Ability to use Cerner EMR is expected
