About the Role

The Indian Health Service (IHS) Monacan Health Center is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide comprehensive outpatient medical services for patients of all ages. This role supports the mission of raising the physical, mental, and spiritual health of the Native American population in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a full spectrum of outpatient medical evaluation and treatment, including chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, etc.).
• Perform history taking, physical exams, order and interpret labs / imaging, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications.
• Manage same-day clinic visits and coordinate specialist referrals as needed.
• Admit patients to appropriate hospitals when required.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and accreditation support activities.
• Attend medical staff meetings, in-service training, and continuing education programs.
• Provide patient and family education, ensuring compassionate and culturally sensitive care.
• Adhere to IHS policies, standards of conduct, and federal healthcare regulations.

Work Schedule & Location

Hours : Monday–Friday, 30 hours per week (between 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM).
