Overview

The General Manager of Luau Operations is responsible for the business leadership and management of the Luau Show and venue, including all aspects of the Luau Show production and Food & Beverage operations. The role focuses on financial performance, staffing and team development, and drives a culture of exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Entrepreneurial Leadership : recognize business opportunities, align the team to execute, develop short- and long-term strategic plans, review financial reports and P&L statements, and represent the asset to customers and staff.
  • Operations / Management : accountability for all operations of the Luau Show, oversee scheduling, staffing, payroll, budget monitoring, compliance, supply management, and safety standards.
  • Marketing and Business Development : develop and implement marketing strategies, oversee budgets, manage third‑party contracts, and expand revenue opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 3–4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or 2 years of related experience with a college degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS systems, spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Previous experience in Luau Show production or related field, F&B operations, health department rules and regulations, and liquor laws.
  • Experience in business and operations management.

    • Physical Requirements

  • Flexible scheduling and long hours sometimes required.
  • May need to lift up to 50 pounds and stand during the entire shift.
  • Must withstand temperature variations both hot and cold.

  • Proven management experience, positive demeanor, strong leadership, effective communication, ability to work as a team, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Self‑motivated, able to learn quickly, work with minimal supervision, and make sound judgments.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling during evenings, days, weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming, comply with company policies, and perform any other duties as directed.
