Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Emergency Medicine MD in Jackson, Ohio, 45640!

Pay Information

$270 per hour

About The Position

Join a vibrant emergency team covering  Jackson, Meigs, and Gallipolis, OH ! We are seeking an experienced  ABEM /   ABMS / AOA board-certified IM / FM or EM physician  to cover a minimum of  5 shifts / month  (ideally 8-10), primarily nights and weekends, with flexible 12-hour shift options.

What You’ll Do :

Manage an average of 15-20 ED patients per shift in a busy but supportive environment

Oversee APPs and write admission orders

Collaborate with specialists including Radiology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, GI, Urology, and Hematology / Oncology

Work with an 11-bed ED, including fast track services

Use Allscripts / Paragon EMR system

Key Stats :

Annual ED volume : 18,527 visits

Admission rate : 17% from ED

Transfers :

Trauma Level : None (transfers to tertiary centers as needed)

Deliveries sent directly to Labor & Delivery

Requirements :

ABEM / ABMS / AOA board certified in IM / FM or Emergency Medicine (No exceptions)

OH state license or IMLC

Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP (all required)

Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience

COVID-19 vaccination required

Must be available nights and weekends
