Cook 3 Lime Kiln Café

Lime Kiln Café is Roche Harbor’s local joint, located at the end of our historic wharf building surrounded by saltwater.   Lime Kiln Cafe opens early in the morning making donuts from scratch and serving a hearty mid-west style breakfast with crispy hashbrowns dripping with butter, fresh egg creations, famous thin style pancakes and iron skillet retro hash dishes. Then the café switches over to a café style lunch with burgers grilled sandwiches, fish & chips and fresh salads.   In the evening we make another shift change and serve authentic brick oven pizzas.   We use only the finest ingredients and are very proud of our wild yeast sourdough pizza dough.   We toss every pie by hand, top with fresh gourmet ingredients and bake or order to bubbly crisp perfection, Lime Kiln Café is also a great place to get a fast, substantial meal. Responsibilities of Cook 3 include :

  • Possess a Valid Washington State Food Workers Card (ServSafe® Certificate is helpful but does not qualify / replace a Washington State Food Worker Card)
  • Passion for cooking and the willingness to learn from others

Experience Required / Qualifications :   3-4 years cooking in a fast paced bistro style restaurant

Start Date : March 30, 2026, April 20, 2026, and June 1, 2026

End Date : September 8th, 2026, September 27h 2026 or October 265h 2026

Housing : Included in agreement Shared Room $100 or Single Room $180

Wage : $20.00 per / hr. + Tips Overtime Rate (after 40 hrs.) : $30.00 per / hr. + Tips

This is a tipped position and pays a lower base wage.

April through October Average - $12.00 per hour Guaranteed by Roche Harbor

In 2024 the average was 13.77 per each hour worked. Roche Harbor will guarantee that your tip income will average at least $12.00 per hour for anyone working from April to October or May to September.   Anyone receiving less than an average tip income of $12.00 for the total hours worked during the time period April to October will be paid the total difference on their last pay check.

Other Compensation :

  • Chef Uniforms provided with cleaning services. (Chef coat, pants, hat and apron) Culinary staff to provide safety shoes and optional knife set
  • Stay Bonus of $1.00 for every hour worked. Must arrive on scheduled start date through end date. Termination of employment forfeits all bonus accrual.
  • Total compensation potential including Tip Income and End of Season Stay Bonus :

    $33.00 per hour
