As a Hospitalist Physician at Corewell Health West, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care. Youll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, manage acute and chronic medical conditions, and contribute to the overall well-being of our patients.

Opportunity Highlights :

• Manage acute medical conditions, including admissions, discharges, and rounding.
• The Hospitalists cover both Butterworth and Blodgett Hospitals.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Participate in hospital committees, quality improvement initiatives, and case reviews.
• Mentor medical residents and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Excellent schedule of 175 shifts per year consisting primarily of 7 on / 7 off; weeks starting on Tuesdays.
• 7 paid jeopardy shifts scattered throughout the year reduces high census days.
• A dedicated team of 8 nocturnists allows the day shift physicians with little to no night shifts required.
• Census goal of 15 to 17 for rounding shifts.
