What will you do?
As an Editor you will provide support to Medical Directors and Editors on the development of various components including meeting materials, slide kits, agendas, executive summaries, sales training modules, monographs, websites, or patient materials for pharmaceutical or biotechnology clients. The ideal candidate should possess strong writing and planning background with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills and proven ability to adapt. You will have proven effectiveness in working with diverse participant groups, partnering with cross-departmental teams to complete projects. This position offers an opportunity to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Expectations
- Conduct literature searches and perform research on the internet using library resources
- Collect and organize references
- Prepare promotional projects for medical / legal submission
- Fact check and annotate projects
- Proofread slides, abstracts, invitations, and on-site materials
- Obtain permissions to reproduce figures and tables
- Ensure the accurate management and organization of copyrights
- Maintain a high order of project files
- Obtain and negotiate pricing estimates for reprints
- Assist with the reconciliation of Department invoices
Qualifications
B.S. in Life Sciences preferred1-5 years editorial experienceStrong project management skills and proven ability to adapt and be flexibleAdvanced research and organization skillsAdvanced proofreading and copyediting skills in the medical fieldProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge and experience working with pharmaceuticals and understanding of industry-related compliance and regulations preferredExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both internally and outside the companyDetail-oriented with a keen follow-through and sense of urgency. Must exhibit a high degree of ownership and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to work well under pressure, stay positive and be a team playerTech-savvy with the ability to manage databasesWhat we offer
