About Bodily
Bodily develops research-driven products for key physiological transitions in women’s bodies. We’re a lean, omni-channel business (DTC, Amazon, wholesale) with complex physical product operations across ~250 SKUs. We care about rigor, clarity, and execution.
The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Product Development Manager on a part-time, contract basis to independently own and lead our product development function. You will be accountable for building, fitting, and scaling products that meet our standards on timeline, cost, and quality. This role demands deep technical expertise in fabrics and manufacturing, strong supplier negotiation, and a disciplined approach to process and documentation. Remote-friendly, but you must be NY-based for fittings and in-person collaboration.
Scope Highlights
- Manage end-to-end product development from concept through production, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and efficiency.
- Partner with suppliers to evaluate construction, fabric, and cost trade-offs; negotiate best-fit solutions for speed, quality, and price.
- Oversee fit sessions in partnership with fit technicians; ensure tech packs are accurately updated, fit comments fully documented, and factories clearly understand and can execute requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and traceable records across development, fitting, and production stages.
- Work with production and planning teams to optimize material use, repurpose leftovers, and implement shared components.
- Rigorously manage budgets — spend only as needed, stay under monthly targets, and prioritize ROI-driven decisions.
- Issue and release production orders; coordinate shipment audits with third-party agencies; resolve problems with urgency and accountability.
- Seek opportunities to introduce tools and processes that move the organization away from scrappy workarounds toward a refined, scalable product development workflow.
