Animal Care Technician- Cage Wash

Animal Care Technician

We are seeking an Animal Care Technician who will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and health of research animals. The technician will be responsible for placing processed bedding, feed, and other related items into assembled, sanitized cages, and maintaining detailed records of maintenance schedules, detergent and disinfectant use, cage washer, and autoclave performance tests.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct daily water bottle or automatic water line and cage checks.
• Provide appropriate food and water.
• Perform cage changing and / or cage cleaning as required per SOP and / or specified protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

Work Environment :

The position is based in an Animal Research Lab focusing on Oncology. The work requires standing, walking, or moving about campus continuously, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs, and ascending / descending stairs regularly.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $16.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
