SUMMARY : Provides client personal care in a mature adult day care center and assists Project Director and Administrative Assistant RN in implementing medical, social, educational, and recreational activities by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates as a team member in planning and implementing social / recreation activity programs.
- Provides input in planning and implementing individual client plans.
- Participates in staff meetings.
- Assists clients in locating designated areas for meals and other activities, i.e., organizes and assists clients with activities.
- Assists clients with personal care and activities of daily living as needed under the supervision of the Director or nursing staff (e.g., assists with bathroom needs, cutting food, etc.).
- Observe the client's progress and report any changes or problems to the Director / Nursing staff for any changes or issues noticed.
- Assists team in setting up breakfast and lunch, i.e., checks supplies, sets up lunch trays, and relocates clients as needed.
- Always assists with the supervision of clients.
- Assists in emergencies.
- Performs other related duties as specified by the Director, i.e., assists with keeping the office area tidy, cleaning the refrigerator, kitchen shelves, sweeping the floor, cleaning the bathrooms, etc.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Certification as a Nursing aide and completion of an orientation / training program which meets DE regulations for Adult Day Services; or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
CNA with valid Delaware CertificationCPR CertifiedPHYSICAL DEMANDS
