We are seeking a detail-driven Payroll Processor with 2–4 years of hands-on payroll processing experience to manage end-to-end payroll execution. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who has owned payroll cycles in ADP, Workday, or UKG and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.
This position is hybrid but MUST BE LOCAL TO THE DES MOINES, IA area to go into the Ankeny, IA office as needed.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
Execute full-cycle payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees using UKG ProProcess payroll adjustments including retro pay, off-cycle runs, bonuses, and terminationsValidate time and attendance data and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll closeAdminister payroll deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdingsConfigure, maintain, and audit multi-state payroll tax setups to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.Set up and maintain state-specific tax codes, reciprocity rules, and local jurisdiction taxes within payroll systems.Monitor employee work location changes and apply correct tax withholdings based on nexus, residency, and sourcing rulesAudit payroll registers and reconcile payroll reports each cyclePartner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data and timely payroll changesRespond to employee payroll questions with a focus on accuracy and serviceRequired Skills and Experience
2–4 years of hands-on multi-state payroll processing experienceDirect experience owning and running payroll in ADP, Workday, UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), or similar systemsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office applicationsExperience supporting regular payroll cycles (weekly, bi-weekly)Strong understanding of wage and hour rules and payroll complianceStrong understanding of federal, state, and local taxationStrong understanding of HR best practicesHigh attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlinesPreferred Skills and Experience
Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems; UKG Pro and Workforce DimensionsExperience with ticketing system softwareProficiency with HRIS configurations relating to payrollExperience working in a remote environmentPhysical Requirements
