Job description

Description / Comment : The Senior Copywriter, Marketing is responsible for ensuring CLIENT’s marketing communications are developed in a consistent voice. The role will create internal and external communication materials that drive effective engagement with the CLIENT brand. The Senior Copyeditor is a key content development resource in the company’s creative services team, crafting copy for print and digital communications directed to all company stakeholders, including customers, patients, shareholders, communities and employees. The role also will be responsible for developing and implementing style guides and training to ensure agencies and colleagues craft communications consistent with CLIENT’s brand voice.

In addition to developing, researching and writing communication materials, the role will serve as an editing resource during the validation and review stages of the company’s Communication Review Process.

Responsibilities : Copywriting

  • . Develop copy for communication materials as documented by creative briefs and assigned by the Director of Creative Services

a. Drive the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communications

b. Understand the appropriate communications style for the company’s various stakeholders and audiences and craft content accordingly

c. Conduct stakeholder interviews and perform appropriate background research in support of assignments

d. Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice

e. Maintain familiarity with web markup language and search engine optimization

  • . Oversee multiple projects through all stages, from concept through to production
  • Copyediting

  • . Participate in the development and ongoing refinement of style guides and resource tools for marketers and other stakeholders
  • . Consult with marketers and other stakeholders to understand their communication challenges, and to offer guidance regarding communication formats and style appropriate for the objectives.
  • . Review and edit communications drafted by other internal and external resources to ensure they adhere to the company’s brand guidelines and voice, are clear and consistent, grammatically correct and drafted at an appropriate reading level.
  • Qualifications :

    Education Preferred :

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Work Experience :

  • years healthcare industry experience preferred; Minimum + years success in a copywriting or editing role
  • Relevant industry experience (pharma, medical device, healthcare services, consumer, etc.) is preferred
  • Knowledge of legal, brand and regulatory compliance requirements for healthcare settings desired
  • Experience implementing brand voice and style guidelines
  • Familiarity with AP and Chicago styles; AMA preferred
  • Digitally savvy and knowledgeable about various marketing tactics and tools
  • Microsoft Office : Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat;
  • Writing samples required
