Job Summary :

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will lead the assessment, planning, and delivery of all respiratory care services across all patient demographics, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This role requires sound clinical judgment and the ability to independently evaluate patient care needs, ensuring the highest quality of service in line with established procedures.

Qualifications :

• Education : Graduate of an Advanced Level Respiratory Therapist Educational Program or a two-year Respiratory college.
• Experience : Newly graduated candidates are welcome, but at least 1,000 clinical hours in a hospital setting are required.
• Licensure, Certification, Registration : RRT registered by N.B.R.C., Current CT state licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current PALS or STABLE Certification and NRP certification is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Proficiency in basic computer skills is essential. Candidates should possess the ability to perform pulmonary function testing and demonstrate critical thinking and advanced decision-making skills. Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities are crucial.
