Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR experience and current CA license for a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an interventional radiology department within a hospital environment
  • Patient populations include pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Specialized procedures include laser-assisted interventions, angioplasty, biopsies, stent placements, and embolizations
  • Experience with procedures such as ERCP, paracentesis, thoracentesis, cholecystostomy, nephrostomy, and vascular colure systems
  • Equipment includes Omnicell medication system
  • Electronic documentation is required
  • Day shift schedule : 5x8 hour shifts, 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM
  • Call required 1-2 days per week and one weekend per month
  • Weekend coverage every third weekend
  • Candidates may float within the hospital based on census needs
  • Scrubs are provided for all staff
  • Modules must be completed during orientation with hours varying by specialty
  • Epic EMR training is provided as part of onboarding
  • No previous permanent staff within the facility may apply
  • First-time travelers will be considered only with sufficient experience
  • Time-off requests must be less than 5 days and must be presented at the time of application
  • One reference from the last 2 years is required for consideration
  • Locals are accepted under different pay structure

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of interventional radiology experience required
  • Previous travel experience required
  • Current CA state license required for consideration
  • Certifications required : ARRT R, CCI RCIS, BLS, and ACLS
  • Proficiency in a broad range of interventional and special procedures
  • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and maintain sterile field in scrub role
  • Experience with Omnicell medication system
  • License required if applicable
