Journeyman & Apprentice Electricians - Fiber Optic Installation (Cocke County, TN)

United Trades of America is seeking Journeyman Electricians and 3rd-Year Apprentices with fiber optic experience for a project in Cocke County, Tennessee . This role involves installing and stringing fiber optic lines on utility poles and requires proficiency in operating bucket lift trucks . Job Duties :

🔹 String and install fiber optic lines on utility poles

🔹 Operate a bucket lift truck to safely reach elevated work areas

🔹 Perform terminations, splicing, and testing of fiber optic cables

🔹 Ensure compliance with electrical codes and fiber optic installation standards

🔹 Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic lines as needed

🔹 Adhere to safety protocols , including proper use of PPE and traffic control when working roadside

🔹 Work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel as required

Requirements :

✅ Tennessee Journeyman Electrical License (for JM Electricians)

✅ Experience in fiber optic installations is required

✅ Ability to operate a bucket lift truck

✅ Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and work orders

✅ Must have basic hand tools and required PPE

✅ Reliable transportation and willingness to travel

Compensation :

Pay is based on experience $20-$35 per hour

Per diem for travelers, amount TBD
