Job description

Position Overview

  • Department : Wound Care / Hyperbarics
  • Schedule : Part- time Day Shift
  • Work Location : UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair- Wound Care / Hyperbarics Center

What You Will Do

Administer hyperbaric treatments to patients under the supervision of a physician.

  • Operate and maintain hyperbaric chamber and associated systems and equipment as prescribed by a hyperbaric physician and under supervision of program director or clinical coordinator.
  • Monitor patients in the chamber and record patient condition. Ensure patient comfort and report any\ unusual occurrences.
  • Maintain operating, maintenance and safety logs on hyperbaric equipment.
  • Keep patient treatment records and collect data as required.

    • What You Will Need

    Licensure / Certification / Registration :

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required :

    • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Alabama Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Hyperbaric Tech obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Practical / Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Alabama Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Emergency Medical Tech preferred.

    • Education :

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's

    • degree / Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
