• Work 12-hour night shifts with holidays and weekends as scheduled
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday schedule approximately every other holiday
• No call or standby requirements
• Float as needed to other units
• 18-bed Intermediate Medical Unit (IMU) with 1 : 3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Royal scrubs dress code required
• Care for typical stepdown patients including post-MI with sheath pull, ADHS, postop vascular, GI bleed, and DKA
• Titrate drips including Nitroglycerin up to 150mcg / kg / min, Neo up to 100mcg / min, and Cardene up to 10mg / hr
• All patients on telemetry with RNs reading strips
• BiPap and CPAP equipment available
• One PCT per shift for support
• Charge nurse available and typically does not take patient assignment
• Epic charting system
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• BSN not required
