Position Summary :
The online event producer role specializes in managing live online webinar presentations and is responsible for ensuring a best-in-class virtual learning experience. Our producers work with professionalism and confidence, display positive energy, ensure a seamless transition between agenda topics, and keep the event moving throughout a designated timeframe. The online event producer role requires high collaboration interdepartmentally, as well as with outside speakers.
Non-Negotiables for this Role :
- Being Tech Savvy : You don’t need to be a technical expert, but you must be tech-savvy and be able to quickly learn how to use new marketing tools and technologies. While we don’t expect you to know all of the tools we use, we do expect you to be comfortable with them and able to pick up the concepts. Your daily tools of the trade will be CRM systems, content management systems, Shopify, etc.
- Project management : Ideally, you’ve had experience in project management. A large part of this role is creating and adhering to deadlines, coordinating with other team members, and moving simultaneous projects forward to completion.
- Being teachable and coachable : There will be a LOT of learning on the job as we do marketing very differently. There is no place here for know-it-alls. We hire based primarily on attitude.
- Being a self-starter : Goals will be clearly defined from the outset. Often, it will be your job to determine what needs to happen, when, and how. The attitude of continually starting things on your own is very important. You should be self-motivated, confident, and able to demonstrate a high degree of personal responsibility and ownership within your work.

Key Job Responsibilities & Activities :
Event Moderation
Starting the webinar, introducing the program and presenter, delivering polling questions or participation codes, moderating a Q&A session, and delivering an event closingAssisting presenters in microphone and webcam equipment setup prior to and during the eventAssisting attendees with day of questions and technical assistanceMaintaining engagement between the audience and presenterEnsuring audio, video, and visual aspects of the event are functioning as expectedSuccessfully transitioning multiple presenters in and out of their scheduled timeframe throughout the eventEnsuring events run on time and as scheduled through effective prepEnsuring presenters effectively understand platform elements / functionality prior to and during eventsEnthusiastic, displays energy, and demonstrates the ability to connect with an audience or speakerWebcast / OnDemand Video Production
Facilitates live and / or prerecorded online events - acts as event producer; responsible for technical support and day of operations of the event, both on-air and behind the scenesVideo-capture webcast content using virtual videography equipment and softwareProvide faculty explicit instructions regarding content flow and assist in microphone and webcam equipment setup prior to and during the eventMake technical decisions regarding elements such as appropriate lighting, shooting angle and placement and type of microphoneTest equipment to determine technical quality of recording, audio, and lighting prior to operationOther tasks and projects assigned to serve our internal and external customers.Communicates across multiple levels within the organization – from pre-production to post-production – to create high-quality programs in a fast-paced environmentBoth functions require the ability to quickly adapt to process changes and delivery platform updates to meet ever-changing business demands and customer expectations.
