MATERIAL HANDLER- Temp Assignment 2nd Shift

Must be able to train on 1st shift hours (6am to 2pm)

Job Summary :

Associates engaged in a variety of warehouse duties including, receiving of materials, pulling material for use and delivery to designated areas and use of computer system for inventory management.

Essential Functions :

• Performs a variety of material handling and inventory control tasks, which include but are not limited to receiving of raw material deliveries, preparation of material for use in production, transport of materials and storage of materials in appropriate warehouse areas.
• Accurately performs work assignments and computer transactions that are required to adjust inventory.
• Accurately performs calculations using various units of measure
• Performs visual inspection of all materials handled to ensure quality
• Utilize manual and power material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to move and arrange material.
• Maintains workflow by ensuring that the proper materials are provided in a timely manner.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment; notifying lead operators and / or supervisors of unsafe practices, conditions, or acts
• Performs work according to SPARs, Work Instructions and verbal instructions; proactively seeks lead operator and / or supervisor for assistance in problem resolution
• Effectively communicates with other associates, lead operators, supervisors while maintaining the self-confidence and self-esteem of others; relays information to the next shift; voluntarily assists other associates, and communicates effectively to prevent problems from occurring
• Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
• Checks receipts and bills of lading against purchase order for proper shipment, shortages, damages or defects.
• Completes required verifications and paperwork / documentation, accurately and neatly
