Job description

Join a dynamic emergency care team in a regional healthcare facility located in the Pacific Northwest. This full-time role involves providing direct patient care in the Emergency Department during 12-hour day shifts, averaging 60 hours per pay period. You will be the vital communication link between patients, families, nursing staff, and physicians, ensuring smooth operations and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with charge nurses, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
  • Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones, relaying messages, maintaining records, and directing visitors.
  • Support patient care by taking specimens to the laboratory and assisting with supply orders.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and organization while working under stressful conditions.
  • Treat patients and their families with respect, dignity, and professionalism, providing clear explanations and reassurance as needed.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification or EMT certification is mandatory.
  • Experience as a Nursing Assistant or EMT is required; one year of Emergency Department experience is preferred.
  • Licensure and Certifications

  • Active Nursing Assistant Certification or EMT license valid in the state of employment.

  • Maintain all regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and complete assigned duties within designated timelines.
  • Exhibit courteous, respectful, and helpful communication with patients, guests, and staff.
