Manager International Trade

- Provide daily business consultation and customer service to employees, driving international trade awareness.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and measures to create long-term value.
- Proactively identify customs compliance gaps, escalate issues, and establish key controls.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects to achieve core responsibilities and project goals.
- Ensure proper classification of products, technology, and software for import and export activities.
- Collaborate with business partners to determine appropriate export / import license requirements.
- Stay updated on new, amended, or proposed regulatory activities to determine business impact and implement necessary program modifications.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience).
- Subject matter expertise in trade compliance and regulatory impacts, with the ability to serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders.
- Trade data analytics skills and trade lane analysis expertise for driving compliance improvements, cost efficiencies, and supporting product launches and market expansion.
- Experience identifying compliance gaps and developing effective controls, with a focus on process improvement.
- Development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to strengthen compliance programs.
- Product classification proficiency using technical documentation, regulatory rulings, and free trade agreement qualifications and valuation determination.
- Trade compliance training development and delivery experience to enhance internal awareness and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Knowledge of U.S. trade regulations, global import / export requirements, and the application of Incoterms in international transactions.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in International Business / Trade, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
- Leadership in cross-functional international trade projects or initiatives.
- U.S. Licensed Customs Broker certification or a similar international trade-related certification (e.g., Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer).
- In-depth knowledge of global trade compliance programs, including C-TPAT / AEO, IMMEX, and free trade zones.
- Experience with international logistics, including capital equipment shipments.
- Proficiency with Global Trade Management software (e.g., OneSource, SAP GTS).
- Understanding of REACH and TSCA regulations and their application to global trade.
- Fluency in foreign languages.
