Actalent is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to design, configure, and maintain platforms that control HVAC, lighting, energy management, fire alarms, and environmental monitoring systems. The role includes implementing Direct Digital Control (DDC) strategies and integrating systems for centralized monitoring and control within a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain platforms that control HVAC, lighting, energy management, fire alarms, and environmental monitoring systems.
- Implement Direct Digital Control (DDC) strategies and integrate platforms with other hospital systems for centralized monitoring and control.
- Troubleshoot components such as sensors, controllers, actuators, and networked devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to manage network configurations, data integrity, and cybersecurity safeguards.
- Lead the installation and commissioning of electrical systems including power distribution, emergency generators, and low-voltage systems.
- Perform diagnostics and preventive maintenance on automation and related electrical systems.
- Support audits and inspections by maintaining documentation and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and training sessions to advance team knowledge of technologies and hospital engineering standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.3–5 years of experience in building automation, electrical engineering, energy management, and commissioning within complex facilities.Proficiency in platform management, DDC programming, and CMMS tools.Familiarity with HVAC controls, fire alarm systems, lighting automation, and energy efficiency technologies.Working knowledge of healthcare facility codes, life safety, ASHRAE, ADA, and healthcare-specific compliance standards.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00 / hr.
