Cardiac experience required for at least 2 positions. License : Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in Client. Certifications : BLS, ACLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required. Must-Have : Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice assigned. Demonstrated ability to work in a team with effective communication and critical thinking skills. Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English clearly. Description : The Pediatric Clinical Nurse provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of a professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care. Applies the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved nursing standards. Assesses and evaluates patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in patient care management. Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. Prioritizes all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care. Educates patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease. Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, families, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team. Manages assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing while demonstrating effective allocation of resources. Role models the tenets of Relationship Centered Care through various patient engagement actions. Considers patients' values, preferences, cultural diversity, and expressed needs in all aspects of care. Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Uses evidence-based practices to enhance understanding of patients' perceptions of care. Initiates service recovery for patients and families with concerns and escalates issues as necessary. Demonstrates caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening through dialogue and actions. Conducts Purposeful Hourly Rounding, addressing essential patient needs.
