Now hiring for a Security Officer at Rice Memorial Hospital. As the Safety & Security Officer, your main responsibilities would be monitoring and protecting hospital patients, employees, guests, and property; preserving the peace; preventing crime; and detecting and detaining violators of the law.

Trainings and certifications provided by the department.
Shift differentials offered for evening, nights, and weekends. Tenured staff willing and eager to share their knowledge.
Schedule :
Part-time | 48 hours per two weeks
Various shifts Monday through Friday 7 : 00AM to 3 : 00PM
Includes every other weekend
Pay and Benefits :
Starting pay begins at $24.00 per hour. Exact wage determined by years of related experience.
Pay range : $21.85 - $34.94 per hour

Hiring bonus of $2000 for eligible candidates.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in security, policing, training, in law enforcement, or private security preferred.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written and deal effectively with individuals / groups in a health care setting.
Minimum training and certification up to the level of EMR within 3 months of hire.
A valid Minnesota drivers license and a driving record in good standing required.
Must become certified in the use of the ASP expandable baton, handcuffing, VISTELAR, and CEW (conducted energy weapon / Taser) as well as experience the effects of receiving a Taser exposure within 6 months of hire.
A full set of fingerprints in accordance with Minnesota Statute 326.336 is required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required prior to completion of unit orientation.
