JOB OVERVIEW

  • Service Setting : Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Coverage Type : Clinical + Call
  • Coverage Period : Ongoing
  • Clinical Shift Schedule : Monday Friday
  • On-Call Shift Schedule : 1 : 4 rotation (covering a single hospital)
  • Call Type : Rotational
  • Call Ratio : 1 : 4

  • Patient Demographics : General rheumatology patients
  • Admissions : Yes
  • Rounding : Yes
  • Phone Consults : Yes
  • Case Mix : General Rheumatology

    • FACILITY INFORMATION

  • EMR System : EPIC fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII
  • Office Equipment Available : Standard rheumatology diagnostic tools
  • Specialty Backup Available : Collegial group of system physicians
  • Support Staff Available : Nurse practitioner support in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Reason for Coverage : System-wide expansion and growth of physician service lines

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline : days post-offer

  • General rheumatologic evaluations and management

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active IN license (or ability to obtain)
  • Certifications : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • Experience : Open to all experience levels
  • Other Qualifications : EPIC EMR proficiency; strong clinical and collaborative skills

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver rheumatology care across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participate in 1 : 4 call rotation
  • Collaborate with a collegial group of physicians
  • Use EPIC system for documentation
  • Contribute to the expansion of high-quality rheumatologic care across the health system
