Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Analyst III in New York, NY.

Analyze project budgets, schedules, and cost estimates to identify potential variances against baseline values to report to project stakeholders.

Collects data and prepares various forecasts and performance trends on key financial metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis across project and program within NY Metro.

Manage project budgets, track project expenditures, change orders, and contract modifications.

Performs financial and quantitative data collection and analyses of a variety of projects and programs across projects within NY Metro.

Creates and manages reports, presentations, and databases. Performs analytic tasks to support strategy, business / financial planning, and operations for various projects and programs.

Monitors the status of projects and programs, with the ability to understand their relationship and potential impacts to both operational and financial performance.

Supports corporate initiatives and communicates progress with Metro NY senior management.

Supports Project Managers in managing company project management software systems.

Research data for subsequent use in analyzing cost and schedule analysis.

Assist Project Managers in risk identification, assessment, and development of risk mitigation plans.

Read and understand client contracts and subcontracts; particularly as related to scope, schedule, budget, and risk.

Prepare a project plan with project manager to ensure all procedures are in place to meet contractual requirements.

Facilitate project review meetings and document meeting outcomes and action items.

Provide general oversight and guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Position requires :

Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles and techniques, and accounting principles;

The principles, practices, techniques, and instruments used in project management;

Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules;

Managing contacts, budgets, schedules, overseeing subcontractor performance, and working with stakeholders and governing agencies on behalf of a public works owner;

Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and Power Apps and creating dashboards; and

Project control processes and methodologies, such as Earned Value Management (EVM).

Compensation

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $93,124 to $172,280.
