County Front Desk Administrator
The County Front Desk Administrator serves as the first point of contact for the public, visitors, and staff at Laurens county offices. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing front office operations, and supporting administrative functions within the department.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet and assist visitors, answer incoming calls, and direct inquiries to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Provide accurate information regarding county services, policies, and procedures.
- Manage scheduling for meeting rooms, appointments, and department calendars.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries; prepare outgoing mail and shipments.
- Maintain visitor logs, issue visitor badges, and monitor lobby security procedures.
- Perform basic clerical duties, including data entry, filing, document preparation, and scanning.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and track front desk transactions as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Assist with departmental projects, recordkeeping, and reports as assigned.
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance with county regulations and privacy policies.
Qualifications :
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.Minimum of 12 years of administrative, clerical, or front desk experience, preferably in a public or governmental setting.Skills and Abilities :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with office equipment (phones, copiers, printers, fax machines).Bilingual abilities may be preferred or required, depending on the community served.Working Conditions :
