Overview

  • Lead the development and implementation of security strategies for a technology company.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security measures into development processes.
  • Define and execute a comprehensive security roadmap for applications and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations, including SOC 2 and GDPR.
  • Establish robust monitoring, detection, and incident response capabilities.
  • Advocate for security best practices across teams and promote a proactive security culture.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with significant ownership and impact.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies including GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and maintain secure application and cloud practices, including vulnerability management and infrastructure hardening.
  • Implement data security measures such as encryption, secrets management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Design and operationalize incident response playbooks and manage post-incident reviews.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
  • Monitor and analyze security systems to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Lead the establishment of security operations and identity access management protocols.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on security practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging security trends and technologies to enhance organizational security posture.
  • Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in security engineering or related technical roles.
  • Proficiency in application security, cloud security, IAM, and security operations.
  • Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, and Temporal technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and GDPR.
  • Ability to balance pragmatism with rigor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
  • U.S. citizenship and residency required due to government initiatives.
