Job Title

Salary : $17.00 - $21.25

Job Details : Under general supervision, performs complex clerical duties requiring a thorough knowledge of organizational and / or departmental policies and procedures related to the work performed.

Essential Job Functions

• Handle citizen complaints using skills in diplomacy, discretion and independent judgment. Includes answering questions and disseminate information requiring a thorough knowledge of organizational and departmental procedures and correct political posture. May direct calls to other persons or departments as appropriate.
• Research documents and assemble data to compile routine and complex reports for City Council members, analyzing the information relative to its budgetary impact or council policy.
• Handle simultaneous requests of a confidential or sensitive nature; prioritize the workflow; and to initiate follow-up action with expediency. Includes oversee, prioritize and coordinate the work of others.
• Compose, edit, and type letters, memoranda, and reports, often of a confidential nature from longhand, typed copies or dictation.
