Job description

The future you want is within reach. Let’s build it together.

At PCL Construction Services, Inc., part of the PCL Family of Companies (PCL), we don’t just build projects—we build opportunities, careers and communities. We are 100% employee-owned, every employee has a stake in our success, and that shared commitment drives how we work, grow and lead in the construction industry.

We’re a team of builders who care deeply about what we create and who we build it with. That includes you. We are not only investing in what’s next in construction, we are investing in what’s next for your career.

As an Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator for PCL Construction in Los Angeles, you’ll have the opportunity to play a visible, high-impact role in advancing PCL’s economic impact and DEI strategy across our California operations. This role sits at the intersection of community, business, and construction - supporting pursuit efforts that help us win work, strengthening relationships that drive inclusive contracting and workforce outcomes, and contributing to landmark and legacy projects that shape the region for generations to come. We are seeking an eager, energetic, and entrepreneurial professional who is excited to take initiative, build meaningful external partnerships, and serve as an ambassador for PCL. In this role, you’ll gain direct exposure to senior leaders, community and industry stakeholders, and high-profile projects - offering significant opportunities for professional growth, expanded responsibility, and a career path that grows alongside PCL’s impact across California.

Why Choose PCL?

Choose a career with rewards that matter. PCL’s total rewards are designed to support your growth, well-being and future success—because when you succeed, we all do.

Our offerings could include:

  • Employee ownership opportunities that build long-term value
  • Annual discretionary performance bonuses
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Industry-leading medical, dental and vision benefits
  • Prescription drug coverage and telemedicine services
  • Life, AD&D and disability insurance
  • Paid parental leave and family care support
  • HSA or FSA for healthcare, dependent care and transportation
  • Mental health and wellness support, including Employee Assistance Programs
  • Career growth pathways, leadership development and mentorship programs
  • Access to world-class training through PCL’s College of Construction and professional development courses
  • Ongoing opportunities to learn new skills, explore different roles and grow your career across sectors and regions

Here's how a Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator for PCL Construction Services, Inc. within California Buildings contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for PCL-led outreach events, career fairs, training workshops, and community investment activities.
  • Represent PCL at external outreach and community engagement events; assist in follow-up and documentation.
  • Maintain a calendar of outreach activities and track participation, outcomes, and new relationships.
  • Support supplier diversity and business inclusion initiatives by maintaining contact lists, tracking interest forms, and engaging with small and diverse firms.
  • Provide research support for pursuits, proposals, and presentations, including demographic analysis, benchmarking, and best practices.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting on supplier diversity, workforce development, and community engagement metrics.
  • Collect and draft community success stories for internal and external communications.
  • Support development of community engagement content for newsletters, internal updates, and external marketing.
  • Report to and assist the Economic Impact & External Affairs Manager in expanding relationships with workforce agencies, nonprofit organizations, and trade/community associations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall workforce development, supplier diversity, and community investment objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Policy, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in event planning, outreach coordination, DEI, community engagement, or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel and database management strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and representing PCL externally.
  • Flexibility to travel locally and attend events during evenings and weekends as needed.

The estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.

Your Work Has Purpose Here
