What You Can Expect

Job Summary

Job function includes design and development of sterilization cases and trays to support the different product engines within Zimmer Biomet. Including project management of all projects (start to finish) to help release sterilization cases and trays for commercial use. Project work requires compliance to corporate and site level procedures such as SOP', ZWIs, and international standards. Position interfaces extensively with Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Strategic Sourcing, outside vendors, and developing surgeons.

How You'll Create Impact

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the design, testing, and implementation of instrument tray, case and container systems for all company product lines.
  • Responsible for creation and issuance of required product drawings and related etching identification.
  • Responsible for all cross functional activities involved within the design and development of cases and trays.
  • Responsible for all post market product maintenance activities.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must be able to work on multiple priorities with high quality expectations in a team-based environment.
  • Must be computer literate with experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
  • Your Background

    Education / Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree required in one of the following engineering disciplines : mechanical, bio-medical, industrial engineering, manufacturing, bioengineering. Experience in design and graphics software, including Unigraphics is highly preferred.
  • Medical device, particularly Orthopedic industry, experience preferred.
  • Travel Expectations

    Up to 10%

    Note this is a hyrbird position with the expectation of being onsite at least once a week.
