Physician Opportunity - ELFHCC

About the Role
As a Physician at ELFHCC, you'll provide comprehensive medical services including physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and offering preventive care. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team across clinical settings, including medical offices, nursing homes, and patient homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver primary and specialty care in clinic, nursing home, and home settings
- Conduct exams, review histories, and order diagnostic tests
- Provide hospital follow-up care at UPMC Shadyside and Magee Women's Hospital (credentialing / scope dependent)
- Promote wellness and prevention through patient education
- Oversee care delivered by PNPs and PACs; supervise triage functions of nurses
- Participate in evening / weekend call coverage
- Maintain accurate, timely records and billing documentation
- Complete forms for insurance, disability, and assistance programs
- Review labs and cultures; follow up with appropriate care
- Support clinical research with Medical Director approval
- Attend CME, staff meetings, in-service trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate in protocol development and compliance
- Ensure practices meet all regulatory and ethical standards
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institutionCurrent Pennsylvania medical licenseBoard certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or OB-GYNMinimum of 3 years post-residency experience preferredBilingual candidates strongly preferredInterest in urban / inner-city medicine a mustSkills & Requirements
