Description

SUMMARY Under the direction of the Team Leader or Production Team Leader, the role is responsible for a variety of duties in all departments of the retail warehouse which may include restocking of items in both the textile and miscel production areas, rotating equipment upon team members, and transporting materials as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES

• Load trucks by placing materials in designated trucks for distribution.
• Removing / rotating materials and equipment in designated production areas.
• Rotate stock and equipment on a timely basis and in accordance with established procedures.
• Keep production area clean, neat, and safe.
• Transport materials and equipment to appropriate departments and locations including waste and salvage (via truck).
• Use of equipment as trained and / or certified.
• Refilling of hangers at hangers stations in textile production area.
• Maintain well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge.

QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES The list below is representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability utilized while performing this job.

Education and / or Experience : High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous material handling experience is preferred.

Math Ability : Level 1 : Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have beginner knowledge.

Supervisory Responsibilities : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Purchasing Authority : No Purchasing Authority

Physical and Environmental Requirements :

Language Ability : Level 2 : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Reasoning Ability : Level 2 : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
