Imaging Patient Care Specialist

The Imaging Patient Care Specialist provides patient reception to services within the Medical Imaging department by obtaining and recording biographic and insurance / billing information at the time of service, ordering the correct imaging procedure in a timely manner and providing a healing and supportive environment for our customers while in our care. This is a career advancement for Imaging Patient Care Specialist I. Candidate should have cross-trained to work in a minimum of two other Radiology support areas. Other duties include assists trainer with new staff training, auditing, gathering statistics, ordering materials, and scheduling. Serves as a mentor and role model for new staff, reflecting a positive attitude towards all company policies.

Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience :

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical setting is required.
• Experience in registration preferred.
