Job Title : Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Schedule : 8 hour shifts

SUMMARY :

Join our dedicated medical team as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, where you will play a crucial role in performing clinical laboratory analyses and examinations. You will work with blood, urine, body fluids, and tissues, utilizing a variety of instruments and methods to assist in physician diagnosis and treatment. Your expertise will help ensure fast turnaround times and high-quality results, and you will apply your problem-solving skills to resolve clinical and instrument issues efficiently. Your position requires independent judgment and adherence to all regulatory lab requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Conduct tests accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Interpret clinical test results, correlating them with patient history and conditions to provide insights for appropriate actions.
• Communicate urgent lab results and instrument malfunctions to physicians and medical personnel without delay.
• Perform quality control, maintain instruments, and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Prepare reagents and manage laboratory supplies with a focus on cost efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with computer functions for order processing and reporting.
• Provide teaching support in the School of Medical Technology and during lab rotations when needed.
• Consistently meet all regulatory laboratory requirements.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Medium work involving exertion of 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, with the ability to move objects constantly. Frequent walking, standing, or squatting is required.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
