Your Mission
The MASY Group is a growing Nunn Perry award-winning government service company providing intelligence analysis, educational, and operational support to key federal agencies such as the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. We are seeking a developer in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
Your Qualifications
- (4+ for mid, 6+ for senior) years of professional Java development experience with a strong focus on building enterprise applications
- Proven expertise in Spring Boot framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security for developing RESTful APIs and implementing complex business logic
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and clean code practices
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate or JPA
- Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker
- Proficiency with build tools such as Maven or Gradle, and version control systems like Git
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and implement robust, scalable backend services
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems designExperience with orchestration with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applicationsFamiliarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices, particularly using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub ActionsKnowledge of API design best practices, including OpenAPI / Swagger documentationExperience with AWS services like EKS and ECSExperience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ for event-driven architecturesExperience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and integration testingKnowledge of security best practices for API development and authentication / authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT)
