We are looking for a Rhode Island-licensed Journeyman Plumber or Pipefitter with at least 2–3 years of hands-on field experience . This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Applicants must have a clean driving record and be able to pass both a background check and an RMV check prior to employment.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, a solid understanding of plumbing codes, and the ability to perform installations and repairs with minimal supervision when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial plumbing systems in compliance with state and local codesRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine system layouts and material requirementsPerform advanced piping techniques, including pipe threading, soldering, brazing, and PVC / PEX assemblyAssemble, install, and connect pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures according to plans and specificationsTroubleshoot system issues and perform necessary repairs to restore proper functionOperate plumbing hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectivelyEnsure job sites are clean, organized, and safe at all timesCommunicate effectively with customers, team members, and management regarding job progress and issuesRequired Qualifications
Rhode Island Master Plumber OR Journeyman Plumber or Pipefitter License (Required)2–3 years minimum professional experience in plumbing or pipefittingStrong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and installation best practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsSkilled in the use of plumbing tools, threading machines, soldering equipment, and related toolsMechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and in a team settingValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a full background check and RMV checkPreferred (But Not Required)
Experience with welding or brazingFamiliarity with hydronic heating systemsBackflow certificationOSHA safety trainingPhysical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ poundsComfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, basements, and on laddersCapable of standing, kneeling, and bending for extended periodsCompensation & Benefits
