Job Functions Include But Are Not Limited To The Following :
- Able to enter information into SAP and utilize all production systems.
- Packer / Hand Stacker has responsibility to inspect and pack cartons neatly. ONLY Quality Products are to be packed!
- Assemble corrugated according to customer specifications involving moisture barriers, tie sheets, carton filled corrugate cases and stretch wrap.
- Responsible to review and confirm Pallet tags, Pallet log and Work instructions all agree.
- Confirm labels are secure and facing out, as applicable, when preparing pallets. Also, make sure corrugated is all lined up and matches in appearance.
- Responsible to check each case to prevent mixing, quality check.
- Responsible for operating Pallet Jack to move completed pallet over to designated area(s) if needed.
- Responsible to Re-stock enough material for next crew member coming behind, which includes pallets, stretch wrap and tie sheets stocked while also keeping the tie sheet carts stocked up with sheets. In addition, must keep up speed to not back up the MPA lanes.
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the area (remove stray cartons, sweep up, etc.) performed during make ready.
- Support and Develop (Lean) initiatives (5s, TPM, Daily Management).
- Will show up for work between 5 and 15 minutes prior to shift start time, unless otherwise directed by supervisor or department manager.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Able to safely operate a forklift to move materials and pallets through the department.
Background / Experience :
Basic Computer SkillsSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Safe Quality Food Responsibilities For All Employees :
Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and / or correct the situation.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of GPI Forklift Certification.
