Overview :
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Surgical Technologist to join our LDRP team in women's services. This is a Full Time- night shift position in Charlottesville, VA.
Call Requirement : Self-scheduled 24 hours in 6 weeks. Must be within 30 minutes of the facility for on call requirements. On call rooms available.
Sentara Martha Jeffersons Women's Health includes L&D, and a 24 bed post-partum mother / baby. Our Level 2 newborn specialty care nursery has a 1 to 1 ratio while our intermediate care babies have a 1 to 3 nursing ratio. Our LDRP unit also offers post operative care for complex GYN and Breast surgical needs. This specialty area has a 100-member team has cross trained to offer best in class healthcare to Charlottesville, VA and surrounding areas.

A Surgical Technologist is a critical member of the surgical team who assists during operative procedures by preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and providing direct assistance to surgeons and nurses. This role requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols.
Will assist in newborn testing, function as surgical technician during operating room procedure, newborn procedure and post labor surgical repairs
