About The Position

Job Title : SPD Tech - Operating Room

Profession : Sterile Tech

Specialty : SPD Tech - Operating Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Monday-Thursday

Hours per Shift : 10 hours (0900-1930)

Experience : Minimum 2 years in decontamination and sterilization

License : CRCST or CBSPD required

Certifications : BLS, Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)

Must-Have :

Certified as a central service technician.

Minimum 2 years experience in decontamination and sterilization.

Experience with endoscopic instrument processing.

Description :

Travelers living within a 60-mile radius of the facility are not eligible.

Travelers residing 60 to 80 miles from the facility will receive a local travel rate.

Interviews will be conducted directly by the manager prior to offering positions.

Duties include instrument decontamination, assembly, and sterilization.

Experience required with washer-decontaminators, ultrasonic equipment, cart wash, scope processing equipment, steam sterilizers, and low-temperature sterilizers.

Data and information management in the unit is automated.

Only option for floating is another SPD unit.

All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility.

Scrub color is provided in ceil blue.

Previous employment with the organization must have ended at least 6 months prior to application.

Holiday shifts must be worked as scheduled.
