Purpose
The Gift Attendant / Cashier position is responsible for greeting and assisting guests, cleaning of shop, stocking and re-stocking merchandise, pricing merchandise and cash handling. This position requires close contact with the public, the ability to work well with co-workers, and assists Santa’s guests in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.

The Gift Attendant will greet guests, graciously providing them assistance, and answer their questions in order that they might better enjoy their visit.
Physical Demands
This position requires frequent reaching, stretching, stooping and climbing up and down stairs. Much of the workday consists of standing and walking. Often this person will be required to lift boxes weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions and Environment
Daytime and Christmastime position which may include weekends and holidays. Position is mostly indoors; however, cleaning and chores may be outside as well as inside stores.
Attendants may work in any of the following extreme weather situations :
Attendants will work in hot and sunny weather, often with high humidity, especially in summer months
Attendants may have to work in light rain or deal with temporary bursts of inclement weather like thunderstorms or heavy rain.
In areas with frequent winds, attendants may need to monitor weather conditions to ensure safety of guests and employees
Attendants may be required to work in low temperatures, possibly with snow or ice.
