Job Title : Nuclear Med Tech I - Dual Modality
Location : Lexington Medical Center - Nuclear Medicine

Job Summary
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic age appropriate Nuclear Medicine procedures by utilizing equipment and computers in accordance with accepted standards of practice and to administer radioactive material accurately in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Education / Experience
- Associate's degree (or Two-Year Professional Program) from an AMA approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Licensure, Certification, and / or Registration
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with NMTCB or certificate eligible.Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the ARRT or registry eligible.Essential Functions
Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment; follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures; keeps informed about changes; participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings; contributes to overall quality of services.Ensures readiness of equipment and supplies for procedures and emergencies.Performs and assists in performing procedures and / or diagnostic tests and / or therapeutic exams using skilled techniques and following safety regulations and established protocols.Maintains files and compiles records for accurate and up-to-date departmental records.Coordinates activities with others to accomplish work objectives.Provides instruction, education and consultation to health care personnel and patients to promote improved quality of patient care.Provides emergency on-call coverage after normal working hours.Minimizes radiation exposure and provides safety to patients / employees.Prepares radiopharmaceutical compounds for patient administration.Provides age / developmentally appropriate care in accordance with Age / Development Specific Guidelines for the specific age groups served when participating in patient care.Skills / Qualifications
Knowledge of clinical computer systems.Ability to organize work activities through prioritizing and scheduling.Work Environment
Works with highly technical and sensitive equipment; exposure to radioactive materials.Exposure to moderate noise.Provides patient care in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable and bloodborne diseases.Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching with arms, finger and hand dexterity, talking, hearing, seeing.Lifting / carrying / pushing / pulling : up to 20 lbs, up to 50 lbs, up to 100 lbs (as applicable).Pay Range
$37.50 - $56.25
