Histotechnician Full-Time Early Day Shift Specialized Pathology Lab

Join a high-performing, nationally recognized pathology lab as a Histotechnician , where your work directly supports accurate diagnoses in specialties like oncology, urology, and gastroenterology. This is a full-time, onsite role with early morning shifts (5 : 00 AM 1 : 30 PM or 6 : 00 AM 2 : 30 PM) ideal for professionals who prefer to have their afternoons free.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform routine and complex histology procedures : grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, and frozen sections

Prepare and test tissue specimens; report and document results

Follow all quality control and safety protocols

Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment and supplies

Participate in CAP and NYSDOH proficiency testing and continuing education

Qualifications :

Bachelor s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent

New York State license required (Clinical Lab Technologist, Technician, Histotechnician, or equivalent)

2 5 years of experience preferred

ASCP certification a plus
