Key Responsibilities :

Provides supervision, guidance, and mentoring for all case managers while also handling a case load.

Assess youth admitted to the program by reviewing records, talking to referring agency, and interviewing youth and families.

Coordinate with staff and other case managers regarding admissions, discharge and transportation of

Coordinate all activities of case managers with court and referring agencies regarding admissions and

Act as a resource person for all staff dealing with outside systems.

Coordinate all family visits with other case managers.

Ensure that all guidelines (i.e. written reports and correspondence) are followed as required by the court, the referring agency, and the Company.

Other Duties Include :

  • Maintain a high standard of role model behavior for youth.
  • Participate in training and development activities as required.
  • Report any acts, incidents or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth relationships.
  • Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per guidelines.
  • Assist Facility Administrator with all youth / family issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Requirements :

    Education : A bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or in a related human services field is preferred. An associates degree is required

    Experience : Two years experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems is required. If the candidate has a masters degree in an appropriate field, the experience requirement is preferred, but not required. Experience with local and / or state agencies and group work techniques is a plus.

    Skills : A sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education and records management preferred. Advanced oral and written communication skills. Strong computer and interpersonal skills.

    Physical Demands : Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable. Must be able to move about the property. Must be able to participate in youth activities. Must be able to transport youth or staff. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that data is attainable under the law.

    Other : Must maintain an appropriate and valid state drivers license. Must meet state criminal background check requirements.
