Responsibilities include assisting with patient examination and treatment under the supervision of a provider, performing clinical duties, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, handling basic clerical duties, managing materials, maintaining a clean environment, documenting provider encounters, and transcribing patient orders.

Requirements include BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer, Medical Assistant certification, and either a high school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable experience. Professional licensure / certification can be used in lieu of education or experience.
